Over the past 15+ years, Bartłomiej "Bartek" Duma has helped global enterprises enhance how they deliver IT services - focusing on three consistent goals:

  1. Improving service delivery
  2. Elevating customer experience
  3. Driving efficiency through technology

An accredited ITIL trainer and expert in DevOps and Lean IT, Bartek has built his career on bridging gaps between methodologies to create practical, effective solutions.

He's spent nearly a decade at Xurrent, taking on roles ranging from Service Management Consultant to Service Management Architect. He now serves as Head of Support Engineering — a role he's held for over 18 months.

As the Head of Support Engineering, Bartek leads a team responsible for providing high-quality support to Xurrent customers and partners, ensuring they have the best possible experience with the platform.

"It's not just about solving technical issues," he says, "but also improving processes, enhancing service delivery, and making sure customers feel genuinely supported."

Bartek is a relationship guy who unequivocally says that customer satisfaction is the most critical metric for both him and the team. "I love seeing the positive impact of our work and knowing that customers feel truly supported by the solutions we provide. It's amazing to see customers and partners use the Xurrent platform smoothly and truly feel like partners throughout the entire business relationship."

Beyond the day-to-day problem-solving, what else drives Bartek's passion for his work?

🧩Resolving complex issues
🛠️ Running process improvement workshops
✨Driving meaningful change
🤝Mentoring and developing the team while continuously working to create a culture of collaboration
💡Fostering a culture of Innovation and continuous learning

Good news: You can join Bartek and his fellow Xurtains. We have openings!

Xurrent is growing - and Bartek's team is no exception. What's his advice to future team members?

"Be curious. Be proactive. And above all, be open. Technology and customers are constantly evolving - we have to evolve with them."

Support at Xurrent isn't just request handling. It's about understanding systems, anticipating needs, and designing better experiences.

Outside of work, Bartek's personal interests span both physical and technological.

The non-Xurrent Bartek: Running. Technology. Family. Skiing. And more technology.

Yes, Bartek loves what he does, but he also enjoys his free time.

"I'm a big fan of technology in my personal life. I often experiment with smart home solutions, like Smart TVs, lights automatically adjusting as one walks down a corridor, mirrors changing when a bath is started, and so on."

Basically, his interest lies in studying new tech that makes life a little easier.

But that's not all.

👨👩👧👦 Spending time with his kids, discovering new things, traveling, and sports also occupy much of his free time.

🚴Bartek loves to bike, though maybe not as much as fellow Xurtain, Martijn, and recently went on a ski trip to Italy.

🏃. He's an avid runner (with several half-marathons under his belt) and hopes to run a full marathon alongside his wife — ideally in a city they can explore after crossing the finish line.

Fun fact: he has a fraternal twin brother — something that still surprises many who know him well.

Technology at work; technology at home

As any parent in the 2020s knows, kids and technology are a big (big) topic.

With two littles at home (3 and 5), Bartek and his wife are well aware of the pros and cons of living in a connected world. While both use tablets and "interact with technology," there are definitely limits.

His children — like most — learn by observation.

"They follow me around and mimic how I use technology. They see me at my standing desk and experiment by clicking, touching, and asking questions. I love to answer their questions and watch them explore. They are very inquisitive."

His children are curious, proactive, and open. They are quickly also becoming polyglots, learning Spanish, English, and Bartek's native Polish.

Sounds like they will be a good fit for Xurrent in … 15 years. 😜
