Short URLs are used to shorten the long URLs for end users to access specific knowledge articles or request templates, amongst many other uses. To make it immediately clear to a configuration manager or account designer not just to which type of item but to which specific item the short URLs in the view refer to, a new Description field has been added to it.
In the ‘Short URLs’ view the Description field replaced the URI field. The URI field is still available to add as a customized column, of course.
