GitHub Sync
This GitHub sync feature enables you to move solutions or solution changes from one environment to another.
Key Benefits:
- Environment Portability: Easily move validated solutions from a sandbox to a production environment.
Configuration Steps
To set up the sync, navigate to the GitHub Sync section in your environment settings and provide the following details:
1. Repository Details
- GitHub repository: Enter the path to your repository in the format
owner/repo(e.g.,xurrent-ops/automation-library). - GitHub branch: Specify the branch you wish to sync with. By default, this is set to
main, but you can use environment-specific branches likedevorstaging.
2. Validation
- Test GitHub Connection: Before saving, click this button to verify that the environment has the necessary permissions to access the repository.
- Note: Ensure that your GitHub Personal Access Token (PAT) or App Installation has "Read & Write" access to the repository.
3. Monitoring Status
- GitHub latest version: Displays the commit hash or tag of the most recent sync.
- GitHub status: Indicates whether the current environment is in sync with the repository or if there are pending changes to be pulled/pushed.

Notice: GitHub Sync is currently an internal-only feature and is unavailable in production environments. Official support for customers will be announced in a future roadmap update.
