Whitelist Attachment File Extensions
In the ‘Security’ section of the Settings console, it now possible for an organization’s account owner to define a list of extensions that files are allowed to have when they are attached to a 4me record.
This list can be used to prevent users from attaching for example .exe, .bat or .cmd files. Limiting the allowed file extensions can be an important safety precaution, because some files can cause undesired instructions to run on PCs when people open them.
When the list of allowed extensions is defined in the directory account, it is possible for the account owner of a support domain account to use the same list. Maintenance of this list should therefore not take much effort, even for very large organizations.
