Right To Be Forgotten
To make it easier for customers to comply with the GDPR, it is now possible to anonymize person records. This is important because from May 25 onwards, individuals can demand that their personal data is erased.
To erase someone’s personal data, the owner of the account in which the person is registered looks up this person’s record, clicks on the Actions toolbar button and selects the ‘Anonymize…’ option.
The owner is then prompted with a warning that explains what the consequences are of anonymizing a person record. That is also where the owner can specify the reason for anonymizing the person record.
If the owner proceeds, the person record is anonymized. This removes all personally identifiable information (PII) from it.
