Display Report as Bar, Pie or Donut Chart
A new analytics feature has been added that makes it possible to transform a horizontal bar chart into a pie chart or vice versa. There are already many horizontal bar charts and pie charts available in the ‘Reports’ section of the Analytics console. When one is selected, the ‘Display as’ toggle is now visible.
A click on the chart type makes it possible to switch from ‘Bar chart’ to ‘Pie chart’.
But there is one more ‘Display as’ option available that makes it possible to turn the report into a donut chart. Donut charts are similar to pie charts, but have the extra benefit of showing the grand total in the center of the chart.
Being able to dictate how data gets presented in reports is especially useful when preparing a dashboard. The ‘Display as’ toggle is therefore also available after a horizontal bar chart or pie chart has been placed on a dashboard. This makes it possible for dashboards to include donut charts.
