2022 in retrospect and a sneak preview into 2023

Xurrent Team

Another year over, and a new one’s just begun. Traditionally, time for us to write a blog about the past year in retrospect. This time however, we would also like to give you a sneak peek of what is coming. 2023 will be an exciting year for sure!

2022 was again a successful year for Xurrent. Steady growth and an amazing final quarter. To be able to support our expanding customer base, we welcomed new partners in various regions of the world and added 24 talented individuals to the Xurrent team.

Last year, we introduced 192 features or enhancements in a total of 48 releases. The updates ranged from small features like added filters and reports to larger ones like product backlogs, scrum support, anonymous logins, guest logins, target breach notifications and even a full-featured webshop.

Valuable improvements were added for managing workflows, including rework loops, exception flows, the ability to add tasks dynamically, and automation rules for workflows. These enhancements laid the foundation for major enhancements in workflow automation.

Where automation was a nice to have in the past, it steadily became a must. Talented people have become scarce and customers expect quality and consistency, fast. By automating as many tasks as possible, organizations can increase agility and productivity. Automation will also lead to increased accuracy and predictability. But not all that glitters is gold, unfortunately.

Automation assumes integration of systems and data sources. Integrations have always been challenging and are still causing delays in many service management implementations. The Xurrent App Store with its standard integrations was a good first step in helping overcome these challenges, but our customers expect even better technology and guidance. This is why we are currently working on a game-changing solution for automation and integration. We are aiming to release this solution very soon, so stay tuned.

Industry and analyst recognition is important to help the market to recognize the value of Xurrent. We are proud to be recognized as Gartner® Peer Insights™ Customers’ Choice for the second year in a row. Xurrent was also certified as compatible with the Unified Service Management (USM) method. For 2023 we are working on additional certifications, including Knowledge Centered Service (KCS) Verified and PinkVERIFY™ Certified ITIL® 4.

At Xurrent, we take performance and availability very seriously. Although we did not achieve the perfect score of 100% availability last year, we were really close. In 2022, the total downtime was just 30 seconds for a few users who were working on a specific server in the EU production environment. The overall availability was 99.999%. And last but not least, after a 2-year break due to Covid, we were finally able to meet in person again during Xurrent Connect in Rotterdam. It was great to see so many of you in person and experience 3 days filled with knowledge exchange, inspiration and fun. We are already preparing this year’s edition.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without our customers and partners. We sincerely thank all of you for your support, feedback and input. You are an indispensable part of the success of Xurrent.

Here’s to a great new year!
