Personal access tokens function like OAuth access tokens and can be used to access the Xurrent APIs.
A scope must be defined for a personal access token which defines what it is permitted to do with the Xurrent APIs. Regardless of the defined scope, a personal access token never provides more access than the roles granted to the person who created the personal access token.
Only a person who has the Auditor , Specialist , Account Designer , Account Administrator , Directory Auditor , Directory Designer , or Directory Administrator role of an account can create, update and delete his or her personal access tokens.
