Product categories are used to classify products , as well as the configuration items that are linked to these products. The product category of a product or configuration item dictates the fields that are available for registering the attributes and relations of the product or configuration item.
Only a person who has the Account Administrator role of an account can maintain the product categories of that account.
The Product Category Fields page provides field utilization guidelines for each field of the Product Category form.
