Different types of contracts can be registered for configuration items (CIs). The most common types are:

  • Lease contracts
  • Maintenance contracts
  • Support contracts
  • Support & maintenance contracts

A contract can cover multiple CIs and a CI can be covered by multiple contracts (e.g. by a lease contract as well as a support contract).

Only a person who has the Financial Manager role of an account can maintain the contracts of that account.

Duplicate contract

After selecting an existing contract, a financial manager is able to copy its information and paste it into a new contract by selecting the “Duplicate Contract” option from the Actions menu.
